What AI can't replace (and what top agents are doing instead)

Real Estate Plan of the Week In Your Inbox Every Sunday

In partnership with

Last week I promised to share what I learned at eXpCon in Miami.

Four days surrounded by 5,000 of the sharpest minds in real estate.

AI dominated almost every stage.

From voice assistants that can qualify leads to systems that follow up faster than we ever could, the tools coming our way are mind-blowing.

And I’ll admit. I’m hooked.

I came home full of ideas on how to use AI to make our business smarter for our agents and our clients’ experience smoother.

But in the middle of all that talk about technology, one thing stood out more than anything else.

It wasn’t AI.
It was people.

The top producers, the ones consistently winning listings in every market are doing something surprisingly simple: in-person seller workshops.

No fancy automation.

No filters.

Just real conversations with homeowners who want to understand how to sell smart in today’s market.

We were lucky enough to watch Dan Beer and Jay D’Alessandro go deep into how they run their seller workshops.

For reference, the Whissle Beer Group has closed $546M+ (#2 in the entire company) so far this year and Jay’s team $338M (#9).

Back to my experience. It felt like sitting at a seller’s kitchen table, except multiplied by 50 people at once. They taught, not pitched. And that’s what made it powerful.

If you’ve ever thought about doing one yourself, here’s where to start:

  1. Choose a date and a space. The moment it’s on the calendar, it’s real.

  2. Lead with education. Think “How to create competition so buyers fight for your home,” not “Why you should list with me.”

You’ve Hit Capacity. Now What?

You built your business by saying yes to everything. Every detail. Every deadline. Every late night.

But now? You’re leading less and managing more.

BELAY’s eBook Delegate to Elevate pulls from over a decade of experience helping thousands of founders and executives hand off work — without losing control. Learn how top leaders reclaim their time, ditch the burnout, and step back into the role only they can fill: visionary.

It’s not just about scaling. It’s about getting back to leading.

The ceiling you’re feeling? Optional.

Here’s how the best ones are structured:

Each workshop runs about 60 minutes. The first 10–15 minutes are focused on welcoming the group, sharing a personal story, and breaking down today’s market in simple terms. The next 30 minutes dive into how to sell strategically — the launch process, pricing psychology, staging, and marketing. The final 15 minutes are for Q&A and one clear invitation: a free home readiness consultation or equity review. Nothing pushy, just the natural next step.

At a time when the industry is racing toward automation, it’s the agents who lean into connection that stand out. Technology might attract attention but human trust is what earns the signature.

Make every day count! 🚀

P.S. With all this new AI on the horizon… what doesn’t exist yet that would make your real estate life so much easier?
Hit reply and tell me. I’m genuinely curious what you wish existed because chances are, someone’s already building it.
